Ashley and Kayla's January Favorites
The holidays came and went and here we are in a brand new decade! We are so excited for 2020 and all the excitement it is going to bring. Since we are still in the dead of winter, keeping our skin and hair moisturized was a challenge, but we managed to find some pretty awesome products along the way. We are excited to share with you some of the items that we could not live without for the month of January.
Ashley’s Favorites
Urban Decay Shadow Primer ($32 CAD)
Finding a good eye shadow primer that can keep my eye makeup in place has been a struggle! I really like that this one isn’t clear and adds some pigment to the eyes.
Knits by Che Toque ($45 CAD)
I absolutely love these toques! They’re so cute and warm which is perfect for our brutal Winnipeg winters.
Garnier Skinactive Masks (6 for $29 CAD)
I love sitting with a face mask for some much needed r&r! These masks don’t break the bank and leave my skin feeling smooth.
Jergen's Sunless Tanning Mousse ($14.49 CAD)
Yay for a self-tanner that doesn’t turn your skin orange! This at home tanning mousse gives the right amount of colour and doesn’t leave you looking like an Oompa Loompa!
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer ($40 CAD)
This is one of those products that I bought and then totally forgot I had it in my collection! I found it again and it’s been my go-to bronzer every day.
My Zenchies Scrunchies ($20-$25 CAD)
Can we rejoice that scrunchies are back? I have quite the collection going. I love that they’re a cute accessory and practical!
Kayla’s Favorites
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen ($15 CAD)
I am so impressed with this sunscreen! I used it every day while we were away in Mexico and I did not burn once! AND, I am always prone to burning my face, especially my nose. One of my goals for 2020 is to make sure I am wearing sunscreen daily and I will definitely be using this product!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer ($30 CAD)
Although I have my eyebrows microbladed, I still do like to fill them in ever so slightly, especially when I am going out. What I love most about this brow product is that the pencil tip is actually quite thick so it makes filling in your brows a breeze!
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($58 CAD)
I don’t love wearing a ton of foundation on my face so I love the idea of using a tinted moisturizer. I really like this product because although it doesn’t feel overly heavy on my skin, the coverage is actually really amazing! If you are looking for something to take on a beach vacation or even just for everyday wear, this is for you!
Dr. Jart+ Sheet Masks ($12 CAD)
I actually received this mask kit for Christmas from Ashley! I had never tried their sheet masks before, but I was so impressed with how they made my skin feel. In this kit I was especially impressed with their brightening and wrinkless masks. My skin felt so plump and looked so radiant afterwards! I also love the price point so you can try each mask to see what works best for you!
Living proof Restore Repair Leave-In ($40 CAD)
My hair is actually quite prone to tangling and somewhat difficult to brush once it is wet. I have always struggled with split ends and have been looking for a solution to keep the ends of my hair moisturized. The thing I love most about this brand is how their products smell! It is seriously one of my favorite smells! I love using this product after getting out of the shower and even on the ends of my hair before I go to bed.
Gillette Venus Comfort Glide Razor Refills ($17 CAD)
I am so impressed by these razor blades! I have never found a razor that makes my legs this smooth and doesn’t give me razor burn! Can I get an Amen?? Of course this razor is a bit of an investment since you need to purchase the razor and then the refills, but IMO it is totally worth it!
