How To Transition Your Wardrobe From Winter To Spring
The changing of the seasons makes so happy! Especially in Winnipeg where it can feel like winter never ends. I love going through my closet and putting away all of my heavy winter clothing, but I sometimes struggle with that weird in between weather of winter not quite being over, and spring not quite having started yet. Today I am sharing five ways to transition your winter wardrobe into the spring season!
1. Chunky sweaters with soft skirts
We absolutely love the trend of keeping your chunky oversized sweaters in your wardrobe rotation. One of our favourite ways to take these pieces into the spring is by pairing them with a softer chiffon or silk skirt.
2. Dresses and over the knee boots
Break out your spring dresses and wear them with a pair of over the knee boots. This is such a cute trend especially when you can still keep your legs nice and warm!
3. Have fun with bright colours
Whether it’s soft pinks, purples, or yellows, those pops of colour will help pull forward any look from winter to Spring. Don’t feel like you have to limit this to your clothing either! Grab a bright purse or scarf and have fun with accessorizing.
4. Swap the ankle boots for flats or mules
This one is bittersweet because I love my ankle booties! However I do get excited when I can retire them for the season. Hopefully you don’t have much snow wherever you are and can get away with kicking off your boots.
5. Add in florals wherever you can
There’s something about florals that just screams spring to me! We love the look of pairing a floral top with jeans or a blazer, or a floral patterned skirt with a solid blouse.
We hope you enjoyed our winter to spring wardrobe transition post! We’d love to know what your favourite transitional pieces are!
